Products can be supplied in either flat panel or modular format. CASE STUDIESCarrick Care Nursing Homes 80 bed home, UddingstonThis is a two storey building, which was made complex by the clients desire to eliminate long straight corridors. This was achieved by making the corridors intersect at angles other than right angles. The intersections of the roof structure were, as a result, complex. Combined with this, a water storage requirement of 3 tanks, each with a 2000litre capacity, were the kind of problems our in house design department took readily in their stride. 120 bed home, PaisleyThis is also a two storey building providing over 4300m2 of floor area, with a timber ground and upper floor. However, the client's requirements were to erect the building in 16 weeks. As a result the timber kit, including the roof, was scheduled to and was delivered on time over a ten week period. Campion Homes Ltd Housing developments - KirkcaldyA valued client for more than three years, Campion Homes Ltd, has appointed us to undertake numerous projects, including an extension to their own offices, as well as housing developments for themselves and for Housing Association clients. One recent project, providing sheltered accommodation involved a negotiated contract and detailed discussions with the project Architect to ensure their exacting requirements were met. Exposed glulam rafters and beams were extensively used to achieve the large overhang features to the roof. The project has been featured by the Architect, in the October 2005 edition of Project Scotland (p14). Exclusive Residence - GlasgowArchitects, Ian Derby Partnership, were re-locating their office to a building on their own site overlooking the River Kelvin not far from the centre of Glasgow. Above the office, a two storey residence for the owner of the practice was to be built. Exacting Architectural demands for the residence required a solution involving the use of curved glulam beams along with steel columns and beams within the floor and wall structures. This allowed the installation of full height windows round corners, cantilevered floors over balconies, as well as a 2 tonne limestone bath on the upper floor. MCA Homes Ltd Housing development - Dunipace, Alloa, CaldercruixWe have a close working relationship with MCA Homes Ltd for whom we have undertaken numerous projects, both housing and flatted developments. We provide a fully pre-fabricated panel system of wall and floor panels for their flatted developments which allows the structure to rise a floor a day which has the potential, for a four storey building, of providing a water tight structure, including the roof, in two weeks. In addition, with housing developments where attic accommodation is to be provided, panellised roof sections have been provided allowing the potential of a three storey structure being erected in a day. Sales Office modulesThe experience of construction of the modular units led to the fabrication of modular sales accommodation for use by MCA Homes on their residential development sites. Either single units of 9x3m or double units of 6x6m, to be connected together on site, have been supplied. These units are completely pre-finished and are ready for occupation as soon as service connections are made on site. Stirling Council Extension modules containing bathrooms - Throsk
